Ghana’s Sulley Muntari to leave AC Milan by mutual consent

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari’s contract with Italian club AC Milan has been ended by mutual consent.

The 30-year old joined the Rossoneri permanently in 2012 following a loan spell while he was at Inter Milan.

Muntari had one more year left on his contract that he signed in 2014.

“AC Milan and Sulley Muntari would like to announce they have reached agreement to dissolve the player’s contract with the club as of today,” a club statement read.

    Sulley Muntari was born 27 August 1984 in Konongo, Ghana and is a Ghanaian footballer who currently plays as a central midfielder for AC Milan in the Italian Serie A. He has been capped 73 times for the Ghanaian national team.
    He won his first senior cap for the Ghanaian national side, the 'Black Stars', against Slovenia on 17 May 2002 and became a regular fixture in Ghana’s 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign.
